Thailand
Amari Midnight Run
Date: October 13, 2007

The annual Amari Midnight Run is the only race in Bangkok to be held at midnight.
Despite the lateness of the race, there’s huge support each year from local residents and shop owners along the route, resulting in a tremendous party atmosphere.
The race offers competitors a choice of two distances - 6km (3.7 miles) or 12km (7.5 miles) - along closed, dark city streets protected by a 300-man strong contingent of police officers and security men. Race begins 12am.

Australia
Tri-Nations Bowls Series
Dates: October 18-21, 2007
Venue: Melville Bowling Club, Perth

The Tri-Nations Bowls series will be held once again in Perth in 2007.
The event, in which 12 World Champion bowlers take part, will be held at the Melville Bowling Club in Alfred Cove, Western Australia.
Each team consists of three men and one woman. Teams will originate from the United Kingdom, South Africa and Australia.

Singapore Sun Festival

The Singapore Sun Festival is an integrated lifestyle event celebrating the “art of living well” through seven key disciplines, including Music, Film, Visual Arts, Literature, Cuisine, Wine and Wellness.
Come celebrate the finer things in life at some of Singapore’s beautiful and historic venues including The Esplanade Concert Hall, The Arts House, Singapore Tyler Print Institute and The National Museum.

China
Mediterranean Arts Festival
Dates: October 19-November 18, 2007
Venue: Various Venues

This Festival showcases the Mediterranean region with performers from Italy, Turkey, Egypt, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Morocco and Tunisia.
The opening performance The Italian Feast is a musical banquet recreating the vitality of 17th-century Italian carnivals.
There will also be Spanish Flamenco, Portuguese Fado singers, whirling Dervishes from Turkey, Greek dramas, belly dancing and Sufi music to enjoy.
This is one of the events under HKSAR’s 10th Anniversary Celebration Programme.

Malaysia
Melaka International Tourism Show (MITS) / Melaka Carnival & MATTA Travel Fair
Dates: October 26-28, 2007
Venue: Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC), Ayer Keroh

Held over three days and three nights, this event features various performances and challenging competitions.
Visitors have a chance to get special packages for overseas tours.

Japan
Tokyo Motor Show
Date: October 27-November 11, 2007
Venue: Makahuri Messe (Nippon Convention Centre), Tokyo

All 11 halls of the Makuhari Messe host the annual Tokyo Motor Show.
Vehicles, motorcycles and many space-age mechanisms are on display to be viewed, examined and even driven.

LAGs (Liquid, Aerosols and Gels)

In accordance with standard aviation security rules, cabin baggage items carried on board in liquid form such as aerosol, gel, perfume, hairspray, deodorant, toothpaste and others are strictly limited. The amount of each item must not exceed 100 milliliters and the total amount of all mentioned items must not be more than 1 liter. Such items must also be safely wrapped in a transparent plastic container/bag.

The rule is effectively applicable since 31st March 2007 on all international routes, to and from any country.
