Sumida River Firework Festival

Minangkabau Culture and Art Festival

This festival presents cultural performances and dances from all regions of West Sumatra, famous for its unique matrilineal culture. The ten-day festival will also feature seminars and exhibitions, in which other regions of Indonesia will take part, as well as the Malaysian state of Negeri Sembilan, which has a nearly identical culture.

Cremation of Tjokorda Gede Agung Suyasa

Tjokorda Gede Agung Suyasa was naturally chosen as the king of Ubud. He passed away on 28 March 2008 at the age of 67. This traditional cremation ceremony, or Ngaben, will be the largest in Bali's history.

Darwin Ambon Sail Race
